Baton Rouge Man Charged with 4th DWI Offense

LA 70 EAST OF PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Horace Joseph Johnson, 50, of 18421 Three Bars Drive, Baton Rouge, LA, on felony D.W.I. charges following a traffic stop on LA 70 East early Sunday morning.

An I.C.E. assigned deputy observed a vehicle on LA 70 East commit multiple traffic violations and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Horace Joseph Johnson. Deputies noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the person of Horace Joseph Johnson. Deputies attempted to conduct field sobriety testing to which Johnson refused. Deputies determined that Horace Joseph Johnson was on court ordered probation for a conviction of 3rd Offense D.W.I.
Horace Joseph Johnson was arrested and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he submitted to chemical tests for intoxication determination and registered a .141 grams percent result.

Horace Joseph Johnson was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Driving While Intoxicated – 4th Offense
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic

Horace Joseph Johnson remains incarcerated with bond set at $300,000.
