Bart Ura Koen, a native of Morgan City and a proud resident of Berwick, was unexpectedly called to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the age of 52.
Those left to cherish Bart’s beautiful memory are his wife of 26 years, Ann Crockett Koen; his three daughters, Abbie Rose, Cate Margaret, and Anna Claire; his grandson & best friend, Briggs Paul Mabile; his favorite mother, Rose Spinella Koen; two sisters, Jodi Daigle and her husband, Joseph, and Donna Vaughn and her husband, Mark.
He is reunited in heaven with his father, Don Ura Koen; his maternal grandparents, Bartel and Marie Rock Spinella; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Laura Koen; and his father-in-law, James Crockett.
The family requests that a time of visitation be observed on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm with a rosary being prayed at 7pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 9am until time of services at Hargrave Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held for Bart on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11am at Hargrave Funeral Home. Following services, Bart will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bart’s memory to Kiwanis of East St. Mary.
