Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department Extinguishes Mobile Home Fire, Saves Belongings

On Monday afternoon at approximately 1:46 pm the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) was called to a trailer fire on Mary Garret Lane. Upon arrival,  firefighters quickly tackled the blaze, successfully extinguishing it.

The efforts of the BVFD not only prevented further damages but also preserved the homeowner’s possessions. Chitimacha Fire, D11, and Franklin Fire Department provided mutual aid with a total of 17 firefighters, four engines, and three service units responding. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and Acadian Ambulance also stood by at the scene.
