Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon Addresses Napoleonville Speed Camera Controversy

Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon has responded to numerous inquiries about the recently implemented speed camera enforcement program in Napoleonville. He emphasized that the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office neither supports nor is involved in the program, and he personally disapproves of the enforcement methods used in Napoleonville.

Sheriff Falcon is actively working with the Village of Napoleonville’s Board of Aldermen to reach a resolution on this issue. He revealed that board members were not entirely informed about the enforcement method and its purpose.

Additionally, although not qualified to give legal advice, Sheriff Falcon suggests that people who receive violations from this program should ignore them without worrying about their driver’s license, driving record, or insurance. If contacted by a collection agency, individuals should continue to disregard it.

Sheriff Falcon said he remains committed to providing law enforcement services for Assumption Parish citizens and the Village of Napoleonville.
