St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith announced that detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Amelia on Thursday evening.
At around 7:40 pm, on Thursday, December 30, 2021, deputies and detectives responded to a call of an armed robbery that occurred at a local business. Investigators learned that a man had entered the business, produced a handgun, and stole merchandise and cash.
