Alternating Lane Closures Highway 90/Atchafalaya River Bridge Through March 2 for Inspections

ST. MARY PARISH, La. – DOTD announces that effective immediately U.S. 90 in the eastbound and westbound direction on the Atchafalaya Bridge in Morgan City, from the eastbound Berwick Exit to Federal Avenue, will experience alternating daily lane closures through March 2.

The times of the lane lanes closures will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.

The closure is necessary for the inspection of the bridge.

The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12 foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.
