Roadwork began on Monday, January 29, 2024 and will continue through Monday, February 12, 2024, U.S. 90 Eastbound will be reduced to one lane from the La. 83 exit in Baldwin to just near the bridge over Charenton Canal.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to construct diversion roads.
Additionally, U.S. 90 Westbound will be reduced to one lane from the bridge over Charenton Canal to near the La. 318 exit beginning Monday, January 29, 2024, until Monday, September 30, 2024.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to install temporary striping and install temporary concrete barriers in preparation for converting the westbound lanes into two-way traffic for road and bridge work to be done on the eastbound lanes.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 14–foot width restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access to the area, but may encounter delays.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
