On July 31, 2023, Drake Domingue, a 33-year-old resident of Mayon St., Morgan City, LA, was arrested on three counts of juvenile pornography. The arrest was part of an ongoing investigation led by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division in conjunction with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The case began when investigators received a cyber-tip that helped identify multiple inappropriate images involving minors. Drake Domingue was discovered to have downloaded and viewed these illicit images, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant for his alleged involvement in juvenile pornography.
Following a search warrant execution at Domingue’s residence, several electronic devices were seized for further examination. Domingue, who was already in custody at the Morgan City Police Department on unrelated charges, faced additional accusations related to juvenile pornography.
Morgan City Police Chief Chad M. Adams pledged the department’s commitment to combating child predators by actively collaborating with state law enforcement partners and national organizations such as NCMEC and LBI. The safety of children in their local community remains a top priority for the Morgan City Police Department as this investigation continues.
