Significant Presence of Law Enforcement on Campus Expected at Assumption High School on Wednesday

On Tuesday, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office learned of a social media post circulating, depicting a potential threat regarding upcoming violence at Assumption High School.

Detectives immediately commenced an investigation and are attempting to identify the source of those threats.

On Wednesday, Sheriff Falcon has ordered a significant presence of law enforcement on campus as we continue to investigate.

While there has been no activity in furtherance of the aforementioned threats, we take these situations very seriously and will continue working to identify those responsible.
