12 Victims Injured, One Seriously, in Franklin Vehicle Accident

A total of 12 victims were injured, with one of those victims sustaining serious injuries, as a result of a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Franklin. Franklin Fire Department, Franklin Fire Department and several Acadian Ambulance ground units were dispatched to Northwest Blvd. at the Highway 90 westbound interchange at approximately 1:50 pm for the accident involving multiple injuries.  An Acadian Air Med helicopter was also dispatched, but was canceled as it was about to land at the scene.

One patient who was reported to be in serious condition was transported to an out of town hospital while 11 victims were transported between Bayou Bend Health System in Franklin and Ochsner St. Mary Hospital in Morgan City.  No other information is available at this time and we will update the story if any additional information becomes available.
