Vivian Simoneaux Comeaux

Vivian Simoneaux Comeaux, a longtime resident of Franklin, passed away at the age of 79 in the late evening hours of Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at the Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Viv, as she was affectionately known, was born on April 28, 1941 in Glencoe, the third of eight children of Gilbert and Lillian Simoneaux. Shortly after her family moved to Charenton where she was raised. Some of her favorite pastimes were crocheting, watching TV, and especially spending time with family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her son, Shane M. Comeaux of Franklin; brother, David Simoneaux of Jeanerette; sisters, Carolyn S. Hebert and her husband Humphrey, Lillian S. Haydel (her twin) and her husband Bubbie, and Melinda S. Broussard and her husband Jack, all of Franklin; brother-in-law, Walter Zirlott of Charenton; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Simoneaux and Lillian Guillotte Simoneaux; two brothers, Harry Simoneaux and Millard Simoneaux; one sister, Lana S. Zirlott; sister-in-law, Sue Landry Simoneaux; maternal grandparents, Delma Guillotte and Philomene Thibodeaux Guillotte; and paternal grandparents, Ulysse Simoneaux and Cora Sinitiere Simoneaux.
Memorial services will be held privately with the family at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin. Father Joel Faulk will officiate the services. She will be laid to rest in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Roland Degeyter and staff as well as to the Franklin Foundation Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
