Video: St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Investigating Boat Theft in Bayou Vista
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith is asking the public for any information concerning the theft of a boat that happened in the early hours of Thursday, May 7, 2020.
The boat is a 19 ft. x 5 ft. aluminum boat with the words “Big Daddy” in black on both sides and has a striped bimini top. The motor is a Yamaha 150 hp 4 stroke.
Two subjects in a white single cab pickup truck took the boat which was located at a location on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. In the video, the passenger in the vehicle gets out, lowers the bimini top, and connects the boat.
Investigators are putting this video out to the public, asking anyone with information concerning this crime to send in crime tips at www.stmaryso.com.
