Two Killed Near Garden City as a Result of Early Morning Pursuit from Patterson

Louisiana State Police Troop I has confirmed with KQKI News that two people were killed near Garden City early Sunday morning after being involved in a vehicle pursuit with the Patterson Police Department.

Patterson Police began investigating what appeared to be a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business which was closed at the time. When the officer approached the vehicle, the driver reportedly sped off reaching speeds over 100 mph.  After traveling west on Highway 90, the driver exited onto Highway 182 and crashed near the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Motor Pool in the Garden City area.

Two passengers were pronounced dead on the scene while the driver remains in critical condition.
