Tuesday Night Search Warrant by Berwick Police Department Results in Drug Charges for Two Suspects

Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrests:

Jamarcus Gunner, 27, Sixth St. Berwick was arrested on October 21,2020 at 12:09 AM for

POSSESSION WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE SCH II METHAMPHETAMINE
TRANSACTIONS INVOLVING DRUG PROCEEDS
VIOLATION OF CDS LAW DRUG FREE ZONE
POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
Reva Thomas, 30, Sixth St. Berwick was arrested on October 21,2020 at 12:09 AM for
POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
On Tuesday October 20, 2020, at approximately 10:34 pm, officers with the Berwick Police Department along with assistance from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on Sixth Street. During this time, officers came into contact with Gunner and Thomas. Throughout the course of the investigation, Marijuana and Methamphetamine destined to be sold were reportedly located, along with US currency and items of drug paraphernalia. Thomas was also allegedly found to be in possession of items of drug paraphernalia. The residence where the incident took place is directly across the street from a church.
Gunner and Thomas were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department and were booked into the Berwick Jail on the charges. Both remain incarcerated awaiting a bond.
