Three Stolen Vehicles Recovered By Berwick Police This Month

 

MelIssa Burke,48, of Oregon St. in Berwick was arrested on August 19,2020 at 5:40 PM and charged with:

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

ILLEGAL USE OF A CDS IN THE PRESENCE OF A MINOR

KEEPING A DISORDERLY PLACE

IMPROPER SUPERVISION OF A MINOR

VIOLATION OF A CDS LAW DRUG FREE ZONE

A 16 year old male juvenile W/M was also arrested on August 19, 2020 at 5:40 PM and charge with:

ILEGAL POSSESSIONN OF STOLEN THINGS (FELONY)

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

On Wednesday afternoon August 19, 2020 the Berwick Police Department received information of a possible stolen vehicle being located at a residence on Oregon Street. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle that was reported stolen from Terrebonne Parish. Officers made contact with Burke and the juvenile and learned that the juvenile had possession of the stolen vehicle. During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained by Berwick Investigators for the residence due to the residence possibly having more stolen items that had been reported in Terrebonne Parish. Burke and the juvenile were both found in possession of Marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. Investigators also located items that had been reported stolen in Terrebonne Parish. Burke and the juvenile were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department. Both were booked on the charges listed.

The vehicles that have been recovered by Berwick Police Department were from Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, Youngsville Police Dept., and the latest being Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.
