Three Charged With Two Counts of Attempted Murder in Jeanerette

JEANERETTE, La. – Three have been arrested and charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Jeanerette.
April Lewis, 29, Joshua Perro, 31, and Khadijah Stewart, 25, from Sorrel, were arrested according to the Jeanerette Marshal’s Office. All three are charged with two counts of attempted murder after a shooting earlier today. According to City Marshal Fernest Martin, the shooting happened around 1:00 or 1:30 p.m.
One man is in critical condition after being shot numerous times in the upper torso on Pelican Ct. in the Candlewood Subdivision. He was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition. The victim was only identified as a black male.
