UPDATE: Suspect Arrested – Original Story: Suspect Wanted in Sunday Morning Shooting in Morgan City
On Sunday, December 6, 2020, at 12:10 am, the Morgan City Police Department responded to a shots fired complaint on Fifth Street. Responding officers located an individual who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim has since been released from the hospital.
Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department developed Tyson Jeffery James Celestine, 32 years of age, as a suspect. Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for Celestine for the following charges:
Attempted Second Degree Murder
Carrying of Firearm By A Convicted Felon
Illegal use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities
