Suspect Leads Multiple Agencies on High Speed Pursuit from Centerville to Iberia Parish, Passenger in Custody with Driver and Two Passengers at Large

At approximately 4:15 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on LA Highway 90 West in the Centerville area. The car pulled over initially, however, the driver pulled back onto Highway 90 West as the deputy approached the vehicle to make contact with the driver.
The vehicle accelerated to speeds of 110 mph in order to evade deputies. The vehicle was occupied by four persons and continued traveling on Highway 90 west from St. Mary Parish into Iberia Parish. The Louisiana State Police used spike strips to bring the vehicle to a stop near Highway 90 West exit 126.
One passenger, identified as Briani Doucet, was apprehended and arrested on the charges of possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. The other three occupants fled on foot. The Louisiana State Police as well as deputies of the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and Iberia Police Department assisted with the search.
As of this time, the three subjects are still at large.
