St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Responds to Report of Gun Shots in Bayou Vista

Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that deputies responded to a call of shots fired on Southwest Road in Bayou Vista.

The call came in at approximately 12:58 pm. No injuries were reported and it is believed that there is no further threat to the public.

With the help of the Patterson Police Department, subjects have been detained and are being questioned. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
