St. Mary Parish President Verifies Case of Coronavirus in the Parish

St. Mary Parish David Hanagriff has advised that as previously reported, it has been verified that there is currently a case of COVID-19 in the parish.  The state has made contact with the individual.  No further information is available at this time.
The Louisiana Department of Health & Hospitals first reported the case on its website Saturday evening. However, Hanagriff was waiting to hear from state officials to confirm the case.
In regards to the executive order by Governor John Bel Edwards that was issued today, Hanagriff is in contact with the mayors and Sheriff Blaise Smith to discuss plans to implement the new guidelines.
