Shooting In Jeanerette Leaves One Dead; Suspect Charged With Second Degree Murder

According to the Jeanerette City Marshal’s Facebook Page, a suspect has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.  Kimmy Dauntain has been arrested and charged in the shooting that happened on Thursday night at around 7:30 pm on First St. In Jeanerette.

The victim, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation and no other details are available at this time.
