Sheriff Becket Breaux Sworn In As New Sheriff Of St. Martin Parish
New Patrol Units Also Unveiled on Wednesday

St. Martinville, LA.) With his family by his side, Sheriff Becket Breaux was sworn in this morning by the Honorable Judge Anthony Thibodeaux. The office said that Sheriff Breaux is looking forward to serving the residents of St. Martin Parish and is excited about working alongside his new team. He was elected with 60% of the vote in a three-way race on Oct. 12, 2019.
The newly designed St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office vehicles were also unveiled on Wednesday and will be utilized by the Patrol Division and the new Criminal Patrol Division. The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office said the Criminal Patrol Division will proactively patrol throughout the parish in an effort to curtail criminal activity. The office said this is just the first of many positive changes that will be taking place within the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office over the next several months adding that Sheriff Breaux and his team will be working diligently to keep the streets of St. Martin Parish safe.
