Paget Millet Thibodaux
November 29, 1953 – January 28, 2020
Paget Millet Thibodaux, a native and resident of Franklin, went home to the Lord at the age of 66 on Tuesday afternoon, January 28, 2020, at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia.
Paget was born on November 29, 1953 and was the third of four children born to Roy and Ophelia Millet. On March 20, 1993 she married the love of her life and best friend, James Thibodaux. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, and was everybody’s favorite aunt. Some of her favorite pastimes included fishing and camping and she especially looked forward to their yearly trawling trips. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those she leaves to cherish her beautiful memory include her husband of nearly 27 years, James G. Thibodaux; sons, Jacob James Thibodaux and Joseph James “JJ” Thibodaux; granddaughter, Paisleigh Jade Thibodaux; her mother, Ophelia Sauce Millet; sisters, Lola Millet Stovall and husband James Sr. and Berinda Millet Robicheaux and husband Robert Sr., brother, Roy C. Millet Jr.; sisters-in-law, Chris T. Marcotte and husband Jerry Jr. and Liz T. Darce and husband Glen; her god-child, Carmen Darce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as though they were her own.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Charles Millet Sr.; paternal grandparents, Frank Millet Sr. and Edna Ayo Millet Stevens; and maternal grandparents, Blaze Sauce and Rosalie Mayon Sauce.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020, at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin during a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday at St. Jules from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 1:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 11:00 o’clock. Following the Mass, Paget will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Marcotte Jr., Patrick Marcotte, Benjamin Robicheaux Sr., Coty Robicheaux, James Stovall Jr., and Blake Stovall. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy C. Millet Jr. and Robert Robicheaux Jr.
