New Iberia Police Asking For Public’s Help In Locating A Wanted Person

The New Iberia Police Department is asking for your assistance in locating a wanted person.
On June 29, 2020, at 6:30 p.m., Officers responded to a complaint of shots fired in the area of Paul Street and Sis Street. Shortly after arriving on the scene, Officer located a vehicle with several bullet holes. It was learned that the vehicle was occupied by a female and small child at the time of the incident.
Detectives responded to the scene and were able to identify the person responsible for incident. Detectives issued arrest warrants on Anthony Grogan, 29 years of age, for:
Attempted First Degree Murder (2 counts)
Illegal Use of Weapons
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Possession of a Firearm within a School Zone
Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway
