Morgan City Arrest Report 8-19-2020

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 51-calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 8/18/2020

Bryant Kentrell Harris, 32 years of age, Address-Mars Rd., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 8/18/2020 at 8:26 P.M.
Charge: Obstructions of Justice-Tampering with Evidence

Maranda Hampton, 27 years of age, Address-Thoroughbred Park Drive, Thibodaux, LA., was arrested on 8/18/2020 at 8:26 P.M.

Morgan City Police Department responded to calls of shots fired on Eleventh St. Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department began developing leads and learned two different groups of individuals were shooting at each other from moving vehicles. During the investigation, one of the vehicles involved was later located at an address on Brashear Ave. The driver was identified as Bryant K. Harris, and the owner was identified as Maranda Hampton. Investigators learned both Harris and Hampton tampered with evidence from the shooting. Detectives were able to obtain arrest warrants for Harris and Hampton. They were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Korianne Marie Parker, 31 years of age, Address-Carol Rd., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 8/19/2020 at 9:09 P.M.

Violation of a Drug-Free Zone
Detectives with the Morgan City Narcotics Division located Korianne M. Parker at a Florence St. Address and placed her under arrest on an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Thomas Clay, 57 years of age, Address-West Park, Gray, LA., was arrested on 8/18/2020 at 10:17 P.M.
Charge: Remaining after Forbidden
Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers were called to a Robin St. address to remove an intoxicated individual. Upon the officer’s arrival, they came into contact with Thomas Clay. Officers learned he had been previously barred from the property and observed he was in an intoxicated condition. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.
