Morgan City Arrest Report 5-4-2020

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 36-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 99 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 5/4/2020:

Shane Eugene Richard, 25 years of age, Address-Gabriel St., Patterson, LA, was arrested on 5/1/2020 at 10:49 P.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation
Disturbing the Peace
Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a local hotel on Highway 182. Upon officer’s arrival, they learned Shane E. Richard had committed a battery by choking his dating partner. Officers located Richard near the scene and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Rondell James Guy, 26 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 5/2/2020 at 8:28 A.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Warrant: Theft under $1,000.00
Officers were called to a residence on Railroad Ave. for a domestic disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, they learned Ronell J. Guy had choked the victim. Rondell Guy was located on Highway 182 and placed under arrest. During the arrest, the officer’s located suspected marijuana in his possession. A warrant check revealed the Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
