Morgan City Arrest Report 4-27-2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 36-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 91 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 4/24/2020:
Tyson Roshawn Alexander, 37 years of age, Address-Caleb Lane, Franklin, LA, was arrested on 4/24/2020 at 2:14 P.M.
Charge: Switched License Plate
No Motor Vehicle Insurance
No Motor Vehicle Registration
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin
Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 182 and Roderick St. for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Tyson Roshawn Alexander. A computer check revealed the vehicle Alexander was driving did not have current insurance and registration. During the traffic stop, Alexander was found in possession of marijuana, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. The heroin was suspected for sales with a street value of $1,650.00 He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Clement Joseph Mire, 37 years of age, Address-Vine Dr., Morgan City, LA, was arrested on 4/24/2020 at 3:54 P.M.
Charge: Criminal Damage to Property between $1,000.00 and $5,000.00

On April 6, 2020, the Morgan City Police Department began an investigation into criminal damage to property. An individual was captured on surveillance footage damaging at least three vehicles on Justa St. During the investigation, Clement J. Mire was developed as a suspect. On 4/24/2020 Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department interviewed Mire. After the interview, detectives placed Mire under arrest. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department.
