Morgan City Arrest Report 4-20-2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 96-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 135 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 4/16/2020:

Tremaine Quintell Thomas, 38 years of age, Address-Alvin St., Napoleonville, LA, was arrested on 4/16/2020 at 3:17 P.M.

Driving under Suspension
No Motor Vehicle Insurance
Possession with the Intent to Dist. Schedule II
Methamphetamine
Possession with the Intent to Dist. Schedule II Crack Cocaine
Possession with the Intent to Dist. Schedule I MDMA
Transactions involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses
An officer patrolling the area of Highway 182 observed a vehicle commit several vehicle violations and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 182 and Halsey St. The driver was identified as Tremaine Q. Thomas. A computer check revealed his driver’s license was under suspension, and the vehicle he was driving was not insured. Thomas was placed under arrest. During the arrest, he was found in possession of Methamphetamine, Crack Cocaine, and MDMA that was packaged for sales. Thomas was found in possession of $265.00 in U.S. Currency, which was suspect proceeds from illegal narcotics sales. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Theodore Francis, 35 years of age, Address-Highway 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/16/2020 at 6:25 P.M.
Charge: Telephone Harassment
Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Officers were called to a Mallard St. residence about telephone harassment. Upon the officer’s arrival, they learned Theodore Francis had been sending threatening messages to the victim. Officers were able to locate Francis at a local motel on Highway 182. Officers found a firearm in Francis’s possession and was a convicted felon. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jarvis Nigel Mack, 34 years of age, Address-Wise St., Patterson, LA., was arrested on 4/17/2020 at 9:51 P.M.
Warrant: Battery of a Dating Partner
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 182 and Roderick St. The driver was identified as Jarvis Mack. A computer check revealed the Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Marlon Alexander Funes, 36 years of age, Address-Cajun Way, Amelia, LA., was arrested on 4/17/2020 at 11:03 P.M.
Charge: Purse Snatching
Officers were called to the area of Highway 182 and Justa St. about a purse snatching. Upon the officer’s arrival, they learned Marlon A. Funes had snatched the victim’s purse from them and fled the area in a vehicle. With the assistance of St. Mary Sherrif’s Office, Funes was located in Amelia, LA. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Sammie Lee Pigott Jr., 50 years of age, Address-South Railroad Ave., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 4/18/2020 1:29 A.M.
Charge: Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling

Criminal Damage to Property
Front Lamp Required on Bicycle
Officers were called to a burglary of a residence on Hickory St. Upon officer’s arrival, they learned from the homeowner they were awakened by their dogs barking. The homeowner found an unknown individual in their kitchen. The suspect then fled from the residence. Officers were able to locate Sammie L. Pigott Jr. in the area matching the description. During the investigation, Pigott Jr. admitted to burglarizing the victim’s house. He was found in possession of several burglary tools. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Therold Lawrence James, 35 years of age, Address-Teche Rd., Bayou Vist, LA., was arrested on 4/19/2020 at 2:59 A.M.
Charge: Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling
Criminal Damage to Property
Disturbing the Peace
Officers were called to a residence on Victor II Blvd. for a burglary in progress. They learned from the victim she was awakened by an unknown individual attempting to enter the front door of the residence. The victim retreated to a bedroom to call the police, during this time the suspect made entry into the residence. When officers arrived, they entered the residence and took the suspect into custody. He was identified as Therold L. James. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
