Morgan City Arrest Report 4-2-2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 30 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 4/2/2020:
Tyrone L. Freeman, 51 years of age, Address-Highway 87 Franklin, La., was arrested on 4/2/2020 at 1:59 A.M.
Charge: Resisting an Officer
Battery on an Officer
Possession of Crack Cocaine
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Warrant: Failure to Appear
Officers were called to a local motel on Martin Luther King Blvd. about illegal narcotic active. Upon officer’s arrival, they came into contact with Tyrone L Freeman. Upon checking warrants on Freman, he pushed the officer and fled on foot. The officer was able to apprehend Freeman and place him under arrest. He was found in possession of suspected crack cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The warrant check revealed the 16th District Court held an active warrant for his arrest. Freeman was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
