Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded 51 to calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 02/27/2020:
Tra Acosta, 23 years of age, Railroad Ave Morgan City, LA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 8:34 am
Charges: Warrant-FTA to pay fine for Hit and Run
Warrant-FTA to pay fine for Window tint violation
Acosta was located at his residence by officers who knew of a warrant for his arrest. Acosta was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking.
Melody Wolf, 45 years of age, Caliente St. Norfolk, VA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 9:45 am

Carlos Rodriguez, 63 years of age, Flaxman St. Pensacola, FL was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 9:45 am

Gregory Kallam Jr, 37 years of age, Caliente St. Norfolk, VA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 9:45 am

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal near Federal Ave and Brashear Ave. The officer stopped the driver identified as Melody Wolf and spoke with her about the traffic violation. While speaking with her the officer could smell a strong odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer then contacted the other passengers and spoke with them. During the investigation, the officer located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Rodriguez was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. All three subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
Elton Pinn, 36 years of age, St. Claire St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on 02/27/2020 at 11:05 am

Pinn was located in City Court of Morgan City and placed under arrest on a Warrant from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s office. Pinn was booked into the Morgan City Police Department jail.

Acosta was located in a vehicle after the driver was stopped in the area of Sixth St. The officer knew of a warrant for Acosta from 16th JDC and he was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.
