Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 96-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40-calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 12/24/2020.
Richard Mathedw Giroir Jr., 61 years old, Address- Duke St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/24/2020 at 10:59 P.M.

Contempt of Court to Pay Fine ( 2 Counts)
Officers were called to a Duke St. address for a disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, they came into contact with Richard Giroir Jr. A warrant check revealed the City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Alysha M. Carlton, 31 years of age, Address-Brashear Ave., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/25/2020 at 12:35 A.M.

Officers were called to a General Patton St. address for a complaint of individual trespassing. Upon the officer’s arrival, they came to Alysha M. Carlton. During the investigation, she was found in possession of suspected marijuana, methamphetamine, Subutex, and drug paraphernalia. She was placed under arrest and additionally charged for being in a posted drug-free zone. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jimmy Bonvillian, 54 years of age, Address-Egle St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/25/2020 at 9:19 P.M.

Officers were called to an Egle St. address for a disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, they learned Jimmy Bonvillian was involved in the disturbance and committed a battery on his dating partner. A computer check revealed the Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Zachariah Joy, 51 years of age, Address-182, Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/26/2020 at 7:06 P.M.

Driving While Intoxicated (Second Offense)
An officer observed a traffic violation on Highway 182 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Zachariah Joy. The officer observed he was in an intoxicated condition. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department, he submitted to an intoxilyzer test and submitted a breath sample of .366g% B.A.C. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department.
Devin Matthew Parvino, 31 years of age, Address-Onstead St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/27/2020 at 2:34 A.M.

An officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Brashear Ave. and Third St. and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Devin M. Parvino. The officer observed he was in an intoxicated condition. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department intoxilyzer test. He submitted a breath sample of .271g% B.A.C. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking in incarceration.
Aaron James Smith, 44 years of age, Address-Highway 182, Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/27/2020 at 5:36 P.M.

Officers were called to the area of Federal Ave. and Levee Rd. for a domestic disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, they came into contact with Arran James. Officers learned James had committed a battery on the victim. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Johnathon Matthew Priestley, 27 years of age, Address-Fourth St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/27/2020 at 1:15 P.M.

Officers were called to an address on Railroad Ave. for an intoxicated induvial. Upon the officer’s arrival, they came into contact with Johnathon M. Priestley. During the investigation, he became aggressive and struck the officer. During the arrest, he resisted the officer and damaged police equipment. Officers able to handcuffed Priestley and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Kern A. Stephens, 59 years of age, Address-Eighth St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/27/2020 at 3:29 P.M.

Officers were called to Eighth St. for a disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, they learned Kern Stephens committed a battery on the victim. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Randy Lee Hatcher, 42 years of age, Address-Avant Rd. West. Monroe, LA., was arrested on 12/27/2020 at 6:11 P.M.
Officers were called to an address on Highway LA 70 to remove an individual from the address. Upon the officer’s arrival, they learn Randy Hatcher was refusing to leave the address and threatened a victim with a knife. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
