Morgan City Arrest Report 12-22-2020

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 39-calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 12/21/2020.


Christopher D. Barr

Christopher Demarco Barr, 38 years of age, Address-14th St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 12/21/20202 at 03:03 A.M.

Improper Lane Usage
No Driver’s License
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana
Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine

Kurt Melancon

Kurt Patrick Melancon, 50 years of age, Address-North Bayou Black Road, Gibson, LA., was arrested on 12/21/2020 at 03:03 A.M.

Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine

Warrant:
Failure to Appear to Pay Fine
Probation Violation

An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation in the area of Highway 182. and Florence St. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Christopher Parr along with his passenger, Kurt Melancon. A computer check revealed Barr’s driver’s license was under suspension. During the traffic stop, Barr was found in possession of suspected marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. A warrant check revealed City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for Melancon. He was additionally found in possession of suspected cocaine. Barr and Melancon were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Jonathon Lee Singleton, 50 years of age, Address-Gabriel St., Patterson, LA., was arrested on 12/21/2020 at 10:17 A.M.

Warrant:
Failure to Appear for Trial (4 Counts)

Jonathon Lee Singleton was located at the Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on active warrants held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Curtis Paul Gaudet, 48 years of age, Address-Lake Palourde Rd., Amelia, LA., was arrested on 12/22/2020 at 03:29 A.M.

Turning Movements and Required Signals
Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Driver’s License

An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation in the area of Highway 182 and U.S. 90. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Curtis Gaudet. A computer check revealed Barr’s driver’s license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
