Morgan City Arrest Report 1-31-2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 48-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 82 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 01/29/2020:
Johnathon Matthew Priestley, 26 years of age, Address-Fourth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/29/2020 at 7:40 A.M.
Warrants: Failure to Appear (12 counts)
Johnathon M. Priestley was located at Assumption Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and placed under arrest on an active warrant held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Rebecca Jane Demarco, 48 years old, Sixth St., Morgan City, La., was placed under arrest on 1/29/2020 at 3:19 P.M.
Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Wayne Curtis Demarco, 50 years of age, Address-Sixth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/29/2020 at 3:19 P.M.
Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Officers were called to a Sixth St. residence for a disturbance. Upon officer’s arrival, they came into contact with Rebecca J. Demarco and Wayne C. Demarco. During the investigation, Rebecca Demarco and Wayne Demarco were found to have drug paraphernalia in their possession. Both, Rebecca and Wayne were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Brandon Michael Collier, 24 years of age, Address-Orange St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/29/2020 at 4:26 P.M.
Charge: Driving under Suspension
An officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Bellanger St. and Federal Ave. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Brandon M. Collier. A computer check revealed his driver’s license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Sarah J. Chavis, 35 years of age, Address-Leona St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/29/2020 at 10:43 P.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Criminal Trespass
Officers were called to an Orange St. residence for a disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, the came into contact with Sarah Chavis. Officers learned Chavis was trespassing on private property and was in an intoxicated condition causing a disturbance. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Cameron C. Thompson, 18 years of age, Address-Bouquet St., Houma, La., was arrested on 1/29/2020 at 11:40 P.M.
Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Stop Sign Violation
An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Marguerite St. and Elm St. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Cameron C. Thompson. During the traffic stop, he was found to have suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Benton Clifford McDonald, 24 years of age, Address- Landmark Dr., Raceland, La., was arrested on 1/30/2020 at 4:53 A.M.
Charge: Soliciting for Prostitutes
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Morgan City Police investigators received information that the subject, McDonald was involved in the solicitation for sexual purposes of an individual in the Morgan City area. McDonald was detained and identified as the subject involved. Evidence was recovered that confirmed the information and McDonald was subsequently placed under arrest and booked.
Justin David Price, 31 years of age, Address-Front St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/30/2020 at 3:31 P.M.
Warrants: Failure to Appear (2 counts)
Justin Price was located at Assumption Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and placed under arrest on active warrants held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
