Morgan City Arrest Report 1-13-2020

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 36-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 106 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 1/10/2020:


Orrando M. Guidry, 48 years of age, Address-Florida St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/10/2020 at 10:40 A.M.
Warrant: Failure to Appear
An officer on patrol came into contact with Orrando M. Guidry in the area of Federal Ave. and Bowman St. A warrant check revealed the 16th District Court held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Bricelon Lamon Martin, 29 years of age, Address-Prarie Road North, Franklin, La., was arrested on 1/12/2020 at 2:54 P.M.
Warrant: Failure to Appear
Bricelon L. Martin was transferred from St. Mary Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department on an active warrant held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was booked and incarcerated.


Chane Johnney Favors, 44 years of age, Address-Plum St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 1/12/2020 at 2:54 P.M.
Warrant: Riding on Roadways and Bicycle Paths
Possession of Synthetic Marijuana
Illegal Carry of a Weapon
Chane Johnney Favors was transferred from St. Mary Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. He was booked and incarcerated.


Zoe Rives

Zoe Rives, 20 years of age, Address-Shell Beach Rd., Pierre Part, La., was arrested on 1/12/2020 at 12:02 P.M.
Charges: Aggravated Flight from an Officer
Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway
No Driver’s License
Turn Signal Violation
Possession of Stolen Things $5,000 to 25,000.00

Claude Charlot

Claude Moses Charlot, 26 years of age, Address-Leonard St., Patterson, La. was arrested 1/12/2020 at 12:02 P.M.
Charge: Aggravated Flight from an Officer
Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway
No Driver’s License
Possession of Stolen Things $5,000 to 25,000.00

Warrants: Simple Burglary
Failure to Appear (2 Counts)
An officer on patrol observed a vehicle violation in the area of Sixth St. and Onstead St. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle failed to stop for the officer. The vehicle fled to Highway LA 70 headed north toward Fig St. As the approached the curve on LA 70 in the area of Lake End Park the vehicle lost control briefly leaving the roadway before re-entering the roadway. The vehicle then traveled about another quarter mile before coming to a sudden stop on La 70. The driver, Zoe Rives, and passenger, Claude Charlot then switched seats. Charlot turned the vehicle around re-entering the City of Morgan City. The vehicle left the roadway in the area of Federal Ave. and Gen McArthur St. crashing into two parked vehicles. Charlot fled from officers on foot. Pursuing officers were able to locate Charlot hiding behind a residence and was taken into custody. Zoe Rives was taken into custody by officers on the scene of the crash.
During the investigation, officers learned the vehicle Zoe Rives and Claude Charlot was driving was reported stolen by the Berwick Police Department. Rives had knowledge Charlot was wanted for outstanding warrants and was the reason she fled from officers. A warrant check revealed the City Court of Morgan City and 16th District Court held an active warrant for Charlot for failure to appear in court. The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office also held an active warrant for Simple Burglary for Charlot. A computer check revealed both Rives and Charlot did not have a valid driver’s license. Officers found suspected drug paraphernalia in the vehicle belonging to Rives and Charlot. Zoe Rives and Claude Charlot were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
