Man Arrested On Stalking Charge

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kyle Anthony Melancon in connection with a series of incidents that occurred in Pierre Part on or about March 22, 2020.
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a complaint in which the victim reported that the suspect, Kyle Anthony Melancon had been following her repeatedly and provided video evidence of such.
It was also noted that at the time of the incidents in question, Kyle Anthony Melancon was under the rule of a protective order filed earlier by the victim.
Based on the evidence provided, deputies filed arrest warrants against Melancon. Kyle Anthony Melancon was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Tuesday evening on charges of:
*Stalking – Crime of Violence
*Violation of a Protective Order
Melancon was incarcerated with a bond set at $10,000.
