Lynwood Darby, 75, a resident of Patterson, LA and native of Franklin, LA, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 5, 2020 at 9:10 PM in Patterson, LA.

A public viewing will be observed on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Funeral Services will be private. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Page at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 12, 2020. Lynwood, Sr. will be laid to rest in the Golden Queen Cemetery in Centerville, LA.

Memories of Lynwood Sr., will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Judy Ann Darby of Patterson, LA; five sons, Lynwood (Joyce) Darby, Jr. and Michael (Felicia) Darby both of Patterson, LA, Kevin Darby of Morgan City, LA, Don Freeman, Dewayne Freeman and Joseph Darby. Sr. All of Franklin, LA; six daughters, Linda (Benny) Darby of Franklin, LA, Sadie Darby of Morgan City, LA, Pamela (Wilfred) Streams of Houma, LA, Lynetta (Robert) Grogan of Patterson, LA, Cheryl (Darren) Mack of Sioux City, IA and Kendra (Charles) Foster of Verdunville, LA: one brother, Louis Darby of Franklin, LA; thirty-six grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lynwood Sr., was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred Darby, Jr. and Sadie Mae Stevenson Darby; a grandson, Lynwood Javon Clark; one brother, Henry Lee Darby, Sr.; one nephew, Henry Lee Darby, Jr.; two nieces, Gwenette Faye Darby & Rena Darby Calloway; two sisters-in-law, Stella Darby and Jean Bobbie Thomas-Darby and two brothers-in-law, Sunny Lawrence and Nelson Calloway.
