Pay-One-Price ride bracelets will be available on two days of the 87th Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival, which gets underway Thursday evening. Ride bracelets will be available for purchase on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again Monday, from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The cost of a bracelet is $30.00.

Royalty for the 87th Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival were crowded during coronation ceremonies that were held Saturday night. Gregory Hamer Sr. was crowned as king while Jordan Gallegos will reign as queen.

Hamer is a local businessman who owns B&G Foods Enterprises that operates over 150 restaurants in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

Gallegos is the 18-year old daughter of Dallas and Jose Gallegos of Morgan City  She is a graduate of Berwick High School and is currently attending Nicholls State University where she is pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice
