LHSAA: No High School Football Games Until Phase 4

High school sports appear to still be in question heading into the 2020 season. There has been talk of flipping seasons, among other topics, and how to handle sports in the middle of a pandemic. It appears, for now, the LHSAA is sticking to its sports specific phase information guide.

According to the LHSAA’s chart, some sports cannot begin until Phase 4. This includes high school football. Sports that cannot be played until Phase 4 also include basketball, soccer, and wrestling.

LHSAA executive director Eddie Bonine recently released a chart that includes the four phases and which sports would be able to proceed.
