Jeanerette Warning Citizens About ATVs on Roadways

According to Jeanerette City Police Departments Facebook Page, any ATVs caught on the roadway will be towed and the driver will be issued a citation.

The Facebook Post reads as follows:

“There will be no more warnings in reference to ATV’s on the roadway in the city limits of Jeanerette. Any and all ATV’s caught on the roadway will be towed and driver(s) will be cited. These ATV’s are becoming a major problem in the city and will not be tolerated. These ATV’s are not made for the roadway and impose a serious injury risk to both vehicles and any person(s) on the ATV.”
