Jeanerette Police To Begin Cracking Down On Large Social Gatherings

In a Facebook post on Monday morning, Jeanerette Police said they will begin enforcing Louisiana state law that gave Governor John Bel Edwards authority to set restrictions on gatherings.  They said the order will be enforced throughout the city and, “No questions asked. You will appear in court.”  The department also stated that large social gatherings had been seen around town.
