International Lighthouse And Lightship Weekend Coming Up

Berwick’s Southwest Reef Lighthouse will be on the air Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday, August 20th and 21st.

The BEARS, Bayouland Emergency Amateur Radio Service, will be calling CQ on the ham bands, listening for lighthouses and lightships, and other ham radio stations world wide.

The station will be located in the pavilion next to the Ray Raspberry Memorial Tower.

The operation is open to the public and members of BEARS will be on hand to answer any questions about the event or about ham radio in general.
