On May 21, 2021, at approximately 9:38 PM, the Franklin Police Department received a call in reference to a reckless driver on Highway 90. While enroute to Highway 90, an officer encountered a vehicle that would not yield to an emergency vehicle and failed to stop at a stop sign. The officer activated the unit siren, the vehicle continued on, and the occupants of the vehicle began to throw objects out of the vehicle. The vehicle finally came to a stop and shortly after, the items which were thrown from the vehicle were recovered.
Handguns along with illegal narcotics were recovered as a result of the traffic stop. One adult and two juveniles were apprehended and subsequently arrested.
