Houma Man Shot In His Home By Stray Bullet

Houma Police said they responded to the area of Lafayette Street in reference to a subject shot in the leg shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday night. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 57-yr. old male who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg while lying in bed.
After an investigation, Houma Police learned that shots were fired in the vicinity of the victim’s home from a passing vehicle. Houma police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
The victim was transported to a local medical facility for non-life threatening injuries.
