Louisiana Governor John Edwards announced on Monday that the state will enter Phase II of reopening the state’s economy on Friday, June 5. Phase II will last for three weeks.
Under the plan, restaurants can now operate at 50% with bars not holding a food certificate at 25% seating capacity. Casinos can now operate at 50% capacity and operate 75% of gaming positions.
Facilities such as movie theaters, pool halls, tattoo parlors, bowling alleys, pools, skating rinks, arcades, museums and spas can now operate at 50% capacity. Outdoor playgrounds may also resume operation.
Visitation to hospitals and senior centers, such as nursing homes, is still not allowed. Non-essential travel can also resume.
