Four Corners Mobile Home Sustains Heavy Damage in Fire

Sunday evening at 6:38 pm, the St Mary Parish Fire District 11 was dispatched to Jones Rd 1 in Four Corners for a mobile home that was smoking. Upon arrival at 6:42 pm, first responders found heavy smoke coming from the rear bedroom of the mobile home. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes.

Eleven firefighters from District 11 received automatic aid from Jeanerette and Chitimacha Fire Departments. A total of five fire trucks responded to the fire. Acadian Ambulance and the St Mary Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene although there were no injuries reported. All units were back in service for 7:32 pm.
