De'Ondric Clarks Sentenced to Life in Prison

Today, (02/14/2020) De’Ondric Clarks, 19, of New Iberia, La. has been sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence in the Second Degree Murder of 16 year old Braylen Foulcard by Honorable Judge Keith Comeaux. Clarks was found guilty in August 2019.
Back on October 23, 2016, officers with the Franklin Police Department responded to the 500 Block of Augustine Maze St. in Franklin where they found Foulcard shot and killed inside his vehicle. Through the investigation, it was learned that the victim had arranged to meet Clarks to sell a cellphone.
The case was prosecuted by the 16th Judicial Attorney’s Office, Assistant District Attorney Erica Johnson Rose.
