City of Franklin Warning of Scam

Residents in Franklin and surrounding areas should be aware that a 1-800 number is calling residents posing as CLECO representatives stating if your bill is not paid within 30 mins your electricity would be terminated. The number calling has a partial recording of a CLECO voice message and abruptly terminates the call. Please be aware THIS IS A SCAM.

The St. Mary Parish Parish Sheriff’s Department as well as the St. Mary Parish Office of Homeland Security were advised.
