Chitimacha Tribal Police Arrest Report – 09-08-20

As per Chief Hal Hutchinson:

On 9-1-20, Jenesse Maturin, 34, Oneida Street, Charenton, was arrested for unlawful possession of drugs (Marijuana) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and released on a summons.

On 9-4-20, Carolyn Sereal, 50, Mississippi Street, New Iberia, was arrested for 2 active warrants for Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for issuing worthless checks.  She was transported to the parish jail.  An officer observed a vehicle with a traffic infraction and performed a traffic stop.  During the traffic stop, the officer learned of the warrants on Sereal and she was arrested.

On 9-8-20, Richard Phillips, 56, Judice Road, New Iberia, was arrested for theft under $1000 and released on a summons.  An officer responded to a Tribal business in reference to a theft.  During the investigation, it was learned Phillips committed the theft and was arrested.
