Berwick Arrest Report 8-20-2020

REVA THOMAS B/F 29 Sixth St. Berwick was arrested on August 18,2020 at 3:43 PM for

  • DOMESTIC ABUSE BATTERY

On August 18,2020 at 3:29 PM the Berwick Police Department responded to an address on Sixth Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers made contact with Thomas and learned that she was the aggressor and committed a battery on the victim. Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where she was booked on the charge of Domestic Abuse Battery.

MELISSA BURKE W/F 48 Oregon St. Berwick was arrested on August 19,2020 at 5:40 PM for

  • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
  • POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
  • ILLEGAL USE OF A CDS IN THE PRESENCE OF A MINOR
  • KEEPING A DISORDERLY PLACE
  • IMPROPER SUPERVISION OF A MINOR
  • VIOLATION OF A CDS LAW DRUG FREE ZONE

JUVENILE W/M 16 was arrested on August 19,2020 at 5:40 PM for

  • ILEGAL POSSESSIONN OF STOLEN THINGS (FELONY)
  • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
  • POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

On August 19,2020 the Berwick Police Department received information of a possibly stolen vehicle being located at a residence on Oregon Street. Upon arrival officers located the vehicle that was reported stolen from Terrebonne Parish. Officers made contact with Burke and the juvenile and learned that the juvenile had possession of the stolen vehicle. During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was prepared by Berwick Investigators for the residence and Burke and the juvenile were both found in possession of Marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. Burke and the juvenile were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department. Burke was booked on the charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of a Minor, Keeping a Disorderly Place, Improper Supervision of a Minor, and Violation of CDS Law Drug Free Zone. The juvenile was booked on the charges of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things (Felony), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Following the booking process, the juvenile was released to a family member pending a court hearing.
