Berwick Arrest Report 7-28-2020
Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrests:
Charles Mitchell Jr. W/M 40 Knight St. Berwick was arrested on July 28,2020 at 03:04AM for
- LICENSE PLATE LIGHT REQUIRED
- DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION
- POSSESSION OF SCH. II CDS METHAMPHETAMINE
- POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
- INTRODUCTION OF CONTRABAND INTO A PENAL FACILITY
On July 28,2020 at approximately 02:37 AM an officer in the area of US Hwy. 90 observed a vehicle with no visible lights illuminating the license plate area. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with Mitchell. During the course of the stop, it was learned that his driver’s license was suspended. Throughout the course of the investigation, items of drug paraphernalia were located on his person. Mitchell was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department. Upon arrival at the Berwick Police Department, Methamphetamine was located concealed on his person. Mitchell was booked on the charges of License Plate Light Required, Driving Under Suspension, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility.
